Marketing Consultant (Contract Virtual Position)

The Marketing Consultant reports to the Director and handles the outside marketing and sales of the Circle of Trust Healing Center program and its benefits. The representative markets the Circle of Trust Center within the addiction recovery and behavioral healthcare industries and their target markets. The Circle of Trust Center is a second-level treatment and healing center opening outside of Ashland, Oregon, the fall of 2015.

The contracted consultant is familiar with the Circle of Trust Center and its model for treatment and recovery of alcohol and substance abuse, and trauma as well as being a marketing expert in the addiction and recovery field. The representative will meet and exceed sales goals in establishing referrals and raising awareness within the market and the general public of what the Circle of Trust Center offers its clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements a marketing plan to sell the Circle of Trust Center program and brand, providing clear strategic direction and an action plan designed to meet and exceed growth goals of qualified leads.
  • Plans, implements, and manages referral development marketing strategies with key referral sources to achieve the Circle of Trust Center goals.
  • Develops contacts with referral source sites within the assigned market area resulting in new qualified leads to the Circle of Trust Center program and meeting specific growth objectives.
  • Attends outside Conferences and events to market and sell the Circle of Trust Center program to key industry groups, business, and consumers.
  • Attends outside sales and marketing meetings to create new relationships and maintain current relationships to meet sales expectations and qualified leads.
  • Markets and sells the Circle of Trust Center treatment program to hospitals, treatment organizations, clinics, private therapists, private physicians, attorneys, Employee Assistance Programs, and other professionals in weekly face-to- face meetings.
  • Achieves daily/weekly call patterns and maintains the frequency of contact with “top tier” referral sources within the addiction/recovery and behavioral healthcare systems and affiliated organizations to generate new and additional business.
  • Maximizes direct marketing opportunity by continually expanding the referral source database, maintaining up-to-date contact information on a monthly basis and tracking its success.
  • Educates community service agencies as to the benefits of the program to potential clients and their families.
  • Evaluates and reports daily/weekly/monthly on marketing initiatives.
  • Promotes the Circle of Trust Center program to the addiction/ recovery community through media and related campaigns.
  • Maintains an ongoing record of all marketing activity and their effectiveness in the CRM. Submits to the Director on a daily/weekly/ monthly basis.
Achieve growth goals determined by Administration.
  • Attends training and meetings as required.
  • Participates on sales and marketing committees as requested.
  • Communicates effectively with the Circle of Trust Center’s leadership team and employees.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, but Masters preferred in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
  • The candidate should have 2-4 years minimum experience in admissions or sales/marketing experience in an addiction or behavioral health care setting.
  • Experience in addiction or mental health treatment required.
  • Strong problem-solving and group work leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a virtual capacity while maintaining excellent communication and reporting.
  • Ability to interact with professionalism and compassion with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Sound, current computer and office management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills including the proper use of communication tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work on a contract, part-time, and flexible basis including some evening and weekend requirements.

Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor I/II

The Circle of Trust Healing Center is seeking both full-time and part-time CADC-Certified Counselors to join our staff. We are a new residential, second-stage treatment and recovery center located near Ashland, Oregon, and will open in the fall of 2015.

The Circle of Trust Healing Center utilizes the Circle of Trust Recovery Modality developed by our founder, Norma Nakai Burton, as well as integrative therapies, in-depth trauma healing and cutting-edge physical cleansing and nutrition. The Circle of Trust Recovery Modality is a psycho-spiritual system developed from Ms. Burton’s training in trauma healing, depth psychology and ancient indigenous studies of the Shadow. For the last 30 years, she has successfully led clients through the journey to wholeness.

The successful candidates are open to being trained in and utilizing this life-changing program with themselves and our clients. Other responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to treatment planning, service coordination, individual counseling, group counseling, assessments, and overseeing the general welfare of our clients.

Minimum Qualifications include:
  • CADC I or II
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, or related field with a Masters degree preferred
  • A minimum of three years working in a residential treatment center or equivalent work experience
  • Current Adult CPR certification as well as current Adult First Aid certification

Intake Coordinator

The Circle of Trust Healing Center is seeking a full-time Intake Coordinator to join our staff. We are a new residential, second-stage treatment and recovery center located near Ashland, Oregon, and will open in the fall of 2015.

The Intake Coordinator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to generating admissions for a 15-bed residential treatment center for those recovering from alcohol, drug addiction and trauma. The successful candidate will field client inquiry calls to see whether they are a good fit for The Circle of Trust Healing Center and then converting those inquiries into admissions. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to an efficient and smooth intake process for new patients while working in collaboration with outside referrals and the Center staff.

Residential & Graveyard Counselors

The Circle of Trust Healing Center is a 15-bed (residential) Stage II (second-level) alcohol, drug, and trauma rehabilitation and cleansing center located in the hills of Ashland, OR. We understand that for one to heal completely from addictions and trauma, they first must have access to a safe, nurturing, and supportive atmosphere completely removed from the many demands of their daily lives. We become used to seeing to the needs of everyone except ourselves, so when a client walks through the doors of the Circle of Trust Healing Center, they know this time is for them alone. Our responsive and specialized staff will attend to our client’s individual needs to release, to recover, and to regenerate their body, mind, spirit, and emotions.

Job Purpose:

Residential & Graveyard Counselors are responsible for providing individual and group counseling support to the clients in residence, mileau supervision during non-clinical services (i.e., during mealtimes, wake-up, bed prep, recreational, etc.) ensuring that 24/7 staff coverage occurs. In addition, Residential Counselors are a resource to clients during family or friend visitation, and transport clients to local 12 recovery support meetings, and dispense medication according to policy.

Qualifications:
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I or Peer SpecialistI) or able to be certified within first year on the job required. (Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service field preferred).
  • Minimum three years of experience working with chemically dependent adults, Minimum of two years of experience working in residential treatment setting preferred.
  • A&D Staff who are in recovery from substance use disorder (recovering addict/alcoholic) must have a minimum of 3 years of continuous sobriety, immediately preceding employment, and must maintain such sobriety in order to retain his/her position as an A&D Treatment provider.
  • If you are required to drive your personal vehicle for agency business more than 3 times an average month for your position: you must have a good driving record, a valid driver’s license, and personal auto insurance with required personal liability minimum as mandated by Circle of Trust Healing Center insurance carrier. A&D Counselor Services:
  • Provide guidance and support to residents in treatment during evening, after-hours, and weekend activities, including crisis counseling and intervention when necessary
  • Take the lead on ensuring safety and security of clients in residence during after-hours emergencies, coordinate with on-call staff and CTHC Management Team members when necessary to support clients in need, and to maintain stabilization of milieu
  • Utilize Motivational Interviewing to determine progress; intervene with individual individuals and make treatment decisions.
  • Facilitate all treatment related groups and/or activities utilizing program adopted evidenced based curricula to provide structure and consistency, including the incorporation of Completion Recovery Model modality in both group and individual sessions.
  • Provide feedback and clinical updates regarding client’s issues/progress to Residential Treatment Manager and Primary Treatment Team members to ensure continuity of services from evening, night and weekends
  • Participate in the development and implementation of evidenced based treatment for all Alcohol and Drug Services being delivered.
  • Support clients to incorporate 12 Step Program elements (such as attending community support groups and sponsorship) and completing recovery work that blends 12 Step Assignments with Completion Recovery Model assignments.
  • Participate in development and implementation of Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring treatment model.
  • Meet with Residential Services Manager for a minimum of two hours per month – at a minimum one hour will be individual, and a second hour may be in a group setting.
  • Facilitate clients to be able to access their personal belongings secured in the HUB Office (i.e., phones, calling cards, medications, etc.), ensuring that such access is followed according to policies & procedures
  • Coordinate room changes, room searches (when required and on a random basis), and search belongings of incoming clients (if such help is requested) to meet the Facility Guidelines
  • Provide supervision for recreational activities when required, and transport clients to local 12 Step meetings on a rotational basis
  • Give random UA’s as needed.
  • Graveyard Staff: Follow the protocols as outlined in the Operations Manual to ensure that safety of clients is maintained during off-hours.

Care Coordinator

Job Purpose:

The Care Coordinators are responsible for providing wrap-around care and case coordination services for clients – from Intake, during treatment, and transition and aftercare. Care Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating services for integrated modalities treatment while at Circle of Trust. Handle any logistical needs for clients while they are enrolled at CTHC, as well as transporting when necessary, to outside/off-site medical appointments. Care Coordinators are responsible for ensuring continuity of care for clients after they complete their treatment at Circle of Trust – arranging for follow-up with PCPs, coordinating care by other outside providers, and arranging for Aftercare services with Circle of Trust Healing Center after they return to their home community.

Qualifications:
  • Certified Peer Specialist (or CADC I) or able to be certified within first year on the job required. (Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service field preferred).
  • Minimum three years of experience providing Case Coordination or Wrap-Around services; Minimum of two years of experience working with chemically dependent adults in residential treatment setting preferred.
  • A&D Staff who are in recovery from substance use disorder (recovering addict/alcoholic) must have a minimum of 3 years of continuous sobriety, immediately preceding employment, and must maintain such sobriety in order to retain his/her position as an A&D Treatment provider.

Care Coordination Services:
  • Meet/greet incoming clients who are from out of the area – provide initial orientation (including review of Group Agreements, Facility Guidelines, etc), as well provide a tour, and arrange for their belongings to be inspected prior to them being assigned a room.
  • Provide transportation for incoming clients (e.g., pick-up or drop-off from the bus station or airport), or to various medical or other appointments necessary for providing overall care to clients in residence.
  • Responsible for being the point-person to schedule appointments with integrated modalities providers (e.g., massage therapists, equine therapists, acupuncturists, art therapists, hydroponic therapy, colonics, and nutritional consultation) who come to CTHC to provide services to clients in residence.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of evidenced based treatment for all Alcohol and Drug Services being delivered.
  • Provide A&D Assessment according to ASAM criteria when necessary to help facilitate the Intake process for incoming clients.
  • Collaborate with the Primary A&D Counselor and MH Therapist to create a transition and Aftercare Plan for clients prior to them leaving CTHC; provide weekly check-in calls with clients for a period of no more than 90 days to ensure that they are connected with recovery resources in their home community, helping to facilitate in whatever way is needed a successful transition to care providers such as therapists, PCPs, or 12 step support groups.
  • Support clients to incorporate 12 Step Program elements (such as attending community support groups and sponsorship) and completing recovery work that blends 12 Step Assignments with Completion Recovery Model assignments.
  • Participate in development and implementation of Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring treatment model.
  • Meet with Residential Services Manager for a minimum of two hours per month – at a minimum one hour will be individual, and a second hour may be in a group setting.

The Primary A&D Counselors are responsible for providing weekly individual therapy to the clients, weekly to bi-monthly (co-facilitated) family therapy sessions in the form of conference calls with the client and his/her family, and weekly group sessions – these are the essential combined tasks for this position. A&D Primary Counselor is also responsible for ensuring that the client’s file meets the OAR documentation requirements (as described below).

Qualifications:

  • Complete Treatment Reviews every 30 days thereafter. Services will be documented within 24 hours of delivery and include individualized performance and progress data related to the goals/objectives being addressed.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of evidenced based treatment for all Alcohol and Drug Services being delivered.
  • Collaborate with other Primary Treatment Team members (for clients on your caseload) — the Care Coordinator and the MH Therapist — to create an integrated treatment plan with the client while in residence
  • Collaborate with Primary Treatment Team members, Clinical Services Supervisor, and the CEO/Executive Director to create and implement a Family Treatment Program for friends/family who live local or distant, including but not limited to family counseling sessions, family education series, multi-family groups, and weekend intensives based on the Completion Recovery Model.
  • Coordinate with other Primary Treatment Team members to design an Aftercare and Transition Plan that meets their clinical needs once they return to their home community.
  • Be available, if requested and appropriate, for follow-up, Aftercare counseling with the client up to 90 days after their discharge – these arrangements will be made during the Transition Care Planning process, as a support for continued care should the need arise.

Mental Health Therapist

Job Purpose:

The Mental Health Therapists are responsible for providing weekly individual therapy to the clients, weekly to bi-monthly (co-facilitated) family therapy sessions in the form of conference calls with the client and his/her family, and weekly group sessions – these are the essential combined tasks for this position. MH Therapists are also responsible for ensuring that the client’s file meets the OAR documentation requirements (as described below).

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Social Science or related field required, licensed preferred.
  • Five years of experience providing dual-diagnosis/co-occurring disorders treatment to adults and families. Minimum of two years of experience working in residential treatment setting with chemically dependent adults.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I or II) or able to be certified within first year on the job required. Must have a minimum of 60 contact hours of academic or continuing professional education in substance use disorders treatment.
  • CTHC Staff who are in recovery from substance use disorder (recovering addict/alcoholic) must have a minimum of 3 years of continuous sobriety, immediately preceding employment, and must maintain such sobriety in order to retain his/her position as an CTHC counselor/therapist.

Residential Services Manager

Job Purpose

The Residential Services Manager is responsible for overseeing general operations of residential portion of the program – specifically ensuring coverage and continuity of services during swing, graveyard, and weekend shifts. S/he is also responsible for providing weekly individual supervision to Residential Counselors, facilitate the daily shift change meetings, coordinate with the CEO/Executive Director and the Clinical Services Supervisor to facilitate the weekly program services meeting, collaborate with the Primary Treatment Team providers and/or Clinical Services Supervisor for clinical concerns, and to ensure that all policies & procedures are being followed by supervised staff.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social or Human Services field and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) II is required (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • A minimum of five years of full-time experience providing Alcohol and Drug counseling, three of which in a residential treatment setting,
  • Two years in clinical supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of Oregon laws relative to alcohol and drug professionals and working with the target population.
  • Subscribe to a professional code of ethics.
  • CTHC Staff who are in recovery from substance use disorder (recovering addict/alcoholic) must have a minimum of 3 years of continuous sobriety, immediately preceding employment, and must maintain such sobriety in order to retain his/her position as an A&D Treatment provider.

  • Provide leadership to the CTHC Residential Services treatment team.
  • Help to develop and implement evidenced-based treatment for all A&D services, rooted primarily in Completion Recovery Model modality.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring treatment model.
  • Provide regular clinical supervision to members of the residential services team and document supervision (at a minimum to meet OAR requirements).
  • Ensure that best practices standards and evidenced based interventions and strategies are used by service providers.
  • Oversee the completion of alcohol and drug client record documentation requirements, as per program policy and procedures, and state guidelines.
  • Provide Alcohol and Drug treatment direct services as needed and directed (and fulfill the duties of the A&D Primary Counselor as described on that job description when functioning as primary counselor for individual clients).
  • Assist members of the treatment team in developing appropriate substance use and co-occurring clinical diagnosis as per the DSM-V, when needed.
  • Ensure that service delivery is performed according to the program’s mission and service philosophy.
  • Provide new-hire orientation and in-service training to staff as required by OAR’s and other governing bodies.
  • Observe treatment team members in various situations including group, individual, and family counseling to determine effectiveness of services being provided.
  • Participate in State of Oregon AMH clinical record reviews and program evaluations in conjunction with the Circle of Trust CEO/Executive Director or his/her designee
  • Provide guidance to treatment team in the event of alcohol and drug crisis situations that may result in hospitalization or transfer to an in-patient treatment center.
  • Report concerns about the performance of treatment team members to Circle of Trust CEO/Executive Director and participate in corrective action in collaboration with Circle of Trust CEO/Executive Director and/or Clinical Services Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Services Supervisor to create/update the CTHC Orientation & Training Manual for all new-hires and for yearly required updates to existing staff; coordinate with the Office Manager to ensure that personnel files are updated accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Services Supervisor, but retain primary responsibility to ensure that the CTHC Operations Manual is updated (at a minimum) yearly to be in compliance with the applicable OARs.
